The 'Exit' menu item will force 4HPlus! to go through a very involved shut down procedure. To aid in preventing data loss via disk caching and improper operating system shut down, 4HPlus! maintains a complete second set of all data files. These files are forced to go through a copy and copy back procedure upon exit which insures a complete savings of all data, to include disk cache flushing, in two files sets. A display bar will show the systems progress upon exiting.

Main Menu Items   -   Share Data
4HPlus! can be executed in a multiple machine environment. If this is done, then there are two distinct methods of operation. Method one allows for all users to be in the system at the same time but limits the data entry/correction/deletion to just one user. All other users can access any of the data simultaneously for all report, SQL, etc. reasons. The user that has the write access, can at any time place a new copy of the entire data pool on the network via the share data menu item.

Main Menu Items   -   Refresh Data

Clicking the Mini Docs menu item will display a list of currently available documents that can then be viewed on screen via Adobe Reader or printed. A copy of Adobe reader is shipped with 4HPlus!

Main Menu Items   -   Review What's New
4HPlus! is an ever growing comprehensive 4H data system. As user's request more features and other factors (such as the federal government changing the ES237 form) occur, we will produce upgrades to the program. These upgrades are available via our web site. When an upgrade is released, a new version number will be assigned. The program, upon execution, will detect this version change. It will at that time display a dialog box listing all of the new features or changes to the program. You can select to clear the dialog box (it would keep displaying each time you run the program) or flag the dialog box as 'viewed'. In that case, you would not see the dialog box again. However, clicking 'Review What's New' will redisplay all upgrade dialog boxes ever received even if they have been flagged as 'Viewed'.
